Reforming Regulation Initiative - consultation on how regulation could be improved

Subject: Law, Lawmakers and Lawyers

Source: GOV.UK

The Government has opened a consultation of businesses and the public to suggest how regulation could be improved.

The Reforming Regulation Initiative is an invitation to businesses and the public to help government ensure that regulation is sensible and proportionate. We’re particularly interested in the needs of small businesses.

The consultation is about improving the system rather than changing regulatory decisions about individual cases.

Regulations related to public safety in buildings have been excluded from the scope of this initiative as the government is delivering a separate programme of improving regulation in these areas.

The initiative relates to England and does not cover the responsibilities of the devolved administrations in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland.

This consultation closes at 11:45pm on 11 June 2020.
